Our Iconic Buildings
Lake Hayes & The Winery
Amisfield Lake Hayes
The construction of Amisfield Wine Company's iconic stone building took two years to complete and overlooks the beautiful Lake Hayes and surrounding mountains.
The building contains some 1500 tonnes of Glenorchy schist and the striking hardwood beams in the Bistro entrance and dining room are from the Riverton Bridge in Southland that was washed away in the 1999 floods.
In the cooler months dine by warming fires and warmer months enjoy food, wine and the views from our Courtyard.

The Winery
Amisfield Winery is an innovative purpose built wine production facility which is certified sustainable. Capacity is 600 tonne and is one of the largest wine facilities in Central Otago. Amisfield Winery includes unique man made water purification systems and wetlands to filter the winery's waste water and convert this into irrigation for the vines.
With a state of the art production winery onsite we retain quality control at all times over the fruit as it's processed. The winemaking approach at Amisfield is one of minimal impact on the extraordinary fruit as its processed from season to season, making the wines a natural expression of the land from which they are created.
