Contrary to popular belief most Riesling is bottled dry. This wine has only 7.4 grams of sugar per litre that delivers a slight sweetness which is then brushed away by bright acidity.
The colour is a vibrant pale straw/green colour. The nose is intense with citrus, floral and mineral notes under-laid by an interesting earthiness this year. The palate is fine & refreshing with clear cut acidity and profound length of flavour.
When to drink
This Central Otago Riesling will develop more mineral and stony characters as it a it ages. Drink now or keep it in the Cellar until 2016.
Food Matching
With its mineral, floral and citrus profile this wine is a great match for Asian cuisine, especially Thai.

Dry, but not searingly dry, riesling with appealing mineral, lime, floral/rose-petal and delicately succulent tree-fruit flavours. A backbone of fruity acidity builds delicious tension in the wine. This is a great food wine that will happily match a wide range of dishes, espciallly seafood. This is what I woudl choose to take with me if I were banished to a desert island.
4 Stars Raymond Chan
Bright pale straw-yellow colour with a pale edge, this has a soft, tight, but fragrant nose of citrus fruits, white florals and exotic jasmine notes with a minerally aspect. Dryish to taste, this has an attractive, delicate palate with gentle lime fruits, floral blossoms and minerals, the soft acidity providing a restrained tension. The wine is sleek but with a soft roundness to the texture. Some zestiness enhances the brightness on the finish. Raymond Chan, August 2011

Delicate yet concentrated, displaying fine aromas of lemon pith, floral and flint. The palate is precise and beautifully poised, showing refined texture and bright acidity, leading to an exceptionally long finish. The wine is elegantly dry and mouthwateringly delicious.
